Nicotine pouch calculator

Compare pouch count, label strength, and a smaller daily limit. The result shows labelled nicotine, not the amount absorbed by your body.

This estimates nicotine listed on the label. It does not calculate the amount your body absorbs and does not identify a safe personal limit.

How the calculation works

If the can states milligrams per pouch, multiply that number by your daily pouch count. Ten pouches labelled 6 mg each give a labelled daily total of 60 mg.

If the can states milligrams per gram, you also need the weight of one pouch. A 12 mg/g product with 0.5 g pouches contains 6 mg per pouch.

Read our guide to nicotine pouch count and strength for the limits of these comparisons.

Use the result as a baseline

  1. Record a normal week rather than relying on one day.
  2. Check whether every can uses mg per pouch or mg/g.
  3. Compare both pouch count and labelled nicotine.
  4. Choose a daily limit that feels challenging but doable.
  5. Review the pattern before changing the limit again.

The nicotine pouch reduction plan explains how to turn that baseline into daily plan targets.

What this calculator cannot tell you

A label total is not an absorbed dose. Formulation, pH, moisture, time in the mouth, frequency, and individual differences can all change nicotine delivery.

It also cannot identify a safe amount or account for nicotine from vaping, smoking, snus, or nicotine replacement products. Speak with a qualified healthcare professional if nicotine use or symptoms are affecting your health.

Frequently asked questions

How do I calculate nicotine per day from pouch labels?

Multiply the nicotine stated per pouch by the number of pouches used. If the can uses mg/g, multiply that figure by the weight of one pouch first.

Is labelled nicotine the same as absorbed nicotine?

No. The result is the total nicotine stated on the labels. Release and absorption vary with the product, how it is used, and the individual.

Does the calculator show a safe nicotine limit?

No. There is no universal safe daily number. The calculator is for comparing your own labelled totals and does not provide medical advice.
